To be eligible for reinstatement, Virginia employees must apply for reemployment within the following guidelines, unless it isn’t reasonable to do so:
- for service lasting up to 180 days, employees must make written application for reemployment within 14 days of their release from service; or
- for service lasting more than 180 days, employees must make written application for reemployment within 90 days of their release from service.
Social Security Number Privacy
Virginia employees won’t have their SSNs as their identification number or included on any identification or access card or badge.
